Join Joseph Rubin and His Orchestra as they recreate your favorite 1930s and 40s musical memories “Stompin’ At the Savoy,” “American Patrol,” “Tuxedo Junction,” “Sophisticated Lady,” “Begin the Beguine,” and much more!
For the first time in decades, this concert will feature the original arrangements of Shep Fields and His New Music. This swinging “brassless” big band toured the country in the 1940s and entertained the troops with the USO in Europe during World War II. Fields had many hit records, radio and film appearances (including The Big Broadcast of 1938 with W.C. Fieldsand Bob Hope introducing “Thanks for the Memory”). Sid Caesar(Comedian and TV star) played saxophone with the band and Ken Curtis(Festus in Gunsmoke) was boy singer
Featuring two vocalists and a swinging 14-piece orchestra, you don’t want to miss concert featuring some of the greatest music from the big band era!
