SYNOPSIS OF SCENES
Act I. At Fountain Square, Carlsbad.
Act II. Scene 1- The Bee Farm at Bitterbrunnen, near Carlsbad, the following afternoon.
Interlude – Preparing for the Festival celebrating the legend of the discovery of Carlsbad Springs.  The Water Sprite, The Huntsman and the Rabbit.
            Scene 2 – The Annual Al Fresco Fete and Carlsbad.

History

The Spring Maid opened on Broadway on December 26, 1910 at the Liberty Theatre and ran for 208 performances.

The New York TimesThe Spring Maid …may be characterized at once, and unreservedly, as very charming.  It is very funny in places, very well done and the music is pretty.
